Headwaters Health Care Foundation (HHCF) is the grateful recipient of a $1 million gift from an anonymous donor who says the gift reflects their appreciation for the exceptional care they received at the hospital.
The donor has chosen to remain anonymous, but shared they received excellent care at Headwaters Health Care Centre (HHCC), specifically the Emergency Department, and wanted to give back to the hospital that cared for them in their time of need. The donor has highlighted the need for MRI services in our community, as the ultimate diagnostic tool. That is why they have directed their $1 million gift to Smart Headwaters, the fundraising campaign aimed at acquiring the first ever MRI machine for Headwaters.
Dr. Yousef Alkurdi was one of the physicians who provided outstanding, compassionate, and skilled care to the anonymous donor. Speaking about the donation, Dr. Alkurdi said “The equipment this donation will fund will help us to diagnose the thousands of patients Headwaters Health Care Centre sees annually more accurately and efficiently. An MRI machine is a necessary tool for diagnosis to ensure optimal patient outcome. Our entire team is grateful for the generosity of this donor.”
Headwaters Health Care Foundation CEO, K.C.
